Patricio Tapia - Descorchados (92): Although at first, especially on the nose, the toasted notes of the oak are evident (it was aged for eight months in barrels, 20% new oak), what soon begins to take over are the fresh and delicious notes of the fruit from La Consulta, a traditional area in the Uco Valley, just above 1,000 meters of altitude. This wine is generous in red and black fruits, and it's soft and dense, succulent and enveloping, but not exhausting. The vibrant acidity is always there to provide balance and tension.
