Wine Critic Reviews

Robert Parker The Wine Advocate (96): When to drink: 2030 to 2055

Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider (96): Deep in color, with a simple swirl you find wet forest floor, cigar box, licorice, spice, flowers, and currants in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, rich and dense, but refined, round, and juicy. Even with all that weight, the wine is vibrant, energetic, long and fresh. The finish builds in intensity, leaving you with layers of dark black, red and blue fruits, chocolate, licorice, espresso, and spice. 2022 marks the first vintage Gruaud Larose was organically certified.

Tom Cannavan (97): There’s a hint of wood on the nose at first, but this goes and it’s then so pure. Loaded with ripe fruit, like the LLC, and it feels like it’s punching at a similar level. Not a hair out of place and impressively low alcohol.

Jean-Marc Quarin (97): When to drink: 2036 to 2060

Jane Anson - Inside Bordeaux (95): When to drink: 2029 to 2044
