Château Branaire-Ducru 2016 is a quintessential representation of the esteemed Saint Julien terroir, known for its elegant and refined wines. Nestled in the 'golden triangle,' this fourth growth estate offers a wine with a signature spiciness complemented by chocolatey and vanilla notes. The 2016 vintage is acclaimed for its classic profile, showcasing aromas of dark berries, cassis, and hints of pencil shavings and cigar smoke. Its medium to full-bodied structure and long finish make it a standout amongst its peers.
Composition: Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The vines are nurtured in gravelly soils on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.
Winemaking: The estate employs a gravity-flow operation, ensuring gentle handling of the grapes during fermentation and vinification.
Aging: The wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak to enhance its complexity and depth.
