Aged two years in a large format French oak Garbellotto cask, the oldest and largest in their cellar at 1,300 gallons. Aromas of ripe cherry and cedar lead to a delicate palate with subtle notes of white pepper, refreshing acidity, and soft tannins. 

Harvested from their oldest vineyard, the crushed fruit was macerated and fermented in a combination of oak and traditional fermenting bins, using their 260-gallon Garbellato Experience oak cask. Following pressing, the wine was aged in a combination o f new and older French oak barrels for 18 months. The 2021 Cabernet Franc represents cool climate viticulture at its best - bright, fresh cherry aromas are complemented b y the slightest hints of vanilla and almond. Well-defined tannins provide structure
without being overpowering and lead t o a characteristic black pepper finish.

2021 Vintage Notes
The 2021 growing season saw above average rainfall throughout the summer and fall. Late bud break in the spring was followed by moderate temperatures throughout the summer and fall. Harvest began early and ran for longer than average, partially due to the abundance of fruit to be picked. Wines from this vintage will exhibit bright acidity due to the cooler temperatures throughout the growing season. Brix at harvest were higher than expected, leading to well-balanced and fruit forward wines.
