Walter Scott Cuvée Ruth Pinot Noir 2024
Robert Parker The Wine Advocate (96): When to drink: 2024 to 2045
Owen Bargreen (93): A terrific wine at the entry level, the 2023 ‘Cuvee Ruth’ comes from a range of sites throughout the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Rich red and dark fruits combine with salty soils and loads of minerals, with citrus peel accents. This is already beautifully defined stuff, with terrific acidity and a smooth mouthfeel.
Wine Enthusiast (93): This cuvée comprised of fruit from some of the top vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills packs a pretty perfume of ripe red raspberries and a wee bit of blueberry fruit leather and talc. A darker raspberry flavor prevails on the palate, along with bursts of orange zest, green tea and that classic Walter Scott acidity.
