The Barolo DOCG from Alessandro Rivetto is a testament to the rich terroir of the Langhe region, renowned for its superior Nebbiolo grapes. This wine captivates with its garnet red color, accented by orange reflections, and offers an intense, ethereal aroma. On the palate, it presents a robust yet velvety texture, with refined tannins and balanced acidity, making it an elegant choice for any connoisseur.
Composition: 100% Nebbiolo. Vine age varies, growing in rich, calcareous soil.
Winemaking: Stalk removal and cold maceration for two days, followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts for 20 days.
Aging: Aged in wood for a minimum of 38 months, including 18 months in barrels.
Wine Enthusiast (88): This wine is all about bold, dark flavors with aromas of black fruit and spice that have leveled up. It's extracted and firm, with plum notes so deep you could get lost in them. Lush and spicy, this wine is like a velvet glove with an iron fist. The firm tannins and concentrated flavors make it a force to be reckoned with, a little time will make the wine all velvet. Drink 2026 - 2045.
