Wine Critic Reviews
Falstaff (91): Delicate pink colour. Elegant, multi-layered nose with notes of red fruits, apple, bread crust, nuances of warm, sweet spices and citrus. Also elegant on the palate with a fine mousse, medium body and notes of apple, summer flowers and almond cookies. Good length. Tasted: Nov 2021
Wine Enthusiast (90): This opens with aromas of red berry, spring flower and a whiff bread dough. On the tangy, lightly sparkling palate, fresh acidity brightens Rennet apple, pomegranate and pink grapefruit alongside a soft, refined perlage. It closes on a mineral note. Tasted: Jul 2019
Andreas Larsson - Tasted (90): Rather pale onion skin hue and fine bubbles. Vinous nose with some autolytic complexity, almond, butter, brioche, floral hints and red berries. Bone dry but balanced palate with a fresh grip, mild creamy texture and a long distinct finish. Tasted: Feb 2018
Wine Enthusiast (93): Made with Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, this offers delicate scents of wildflowers, orchard fruit and a whiff of baking spice. Racy, linear and refreshing, the crisp dry palate delivers Rennet apple, nectarine and a hint of ginger, while a graphite note adds depth. It's elegant, with small, continuous bubbles. Tasted: Jan 2018
Tom Cannavan (91): 70% Pinot with Chardonnay, saignée method, and long ageing of at least 36 months in bottle. 2g/l sugar. A touch of coppery tint to a fairly bright pink. A big, toasty nose, lots of coffee and cream, and a feeling of ripeness and richness, a touch of strawberry and of Pinot earthiness. The palate has lovely fruit, a decisive brightness, lots of charm here that is slightly missing in the Cisiolo for me. Long and delicious, with both serious structure and charm. Tasted: Jan 2014
