Galyrand's holdings in La Combe du Pré are now supplemented by another parcel in Champ Forey, and together they produced the 2022 Marsannay, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping wine evocative of plums, raspberries, spices and peonies. This will drink well on release.

Variety: Pinot Noir
Vine Age: Planted in 1980
Terroir: Mid-slope, Ostrea Acuminata marl (a type of marly limestone that consists of abundant small (1-3 cm) oyster fossils held together by a fine-grained clay-rich matrix).
Viticulture: Organic (Ecocert, 2019), biodynamic methods.
Vinification: No added SO2 during vinification. 15-20% whole cluster, ambient yeast fermentation with punchdowns and a few pump-overs. Aged for 12-14 months in barrels (20% new). No fining, light filtration if necessary. 30-45 ppm total SO2 at bottling.
