Pale, transparent ruby, silver reflections. Clean and clear aromas of clove, with meaty notes and then redcurrant. On the palate, well-integrated tannins and a pleasant bitterness supporting the fruit. Precise and juicy with a long finish.

The Rosso di Valtellina D.O.C. is made only with nebbiolo grapes (known here as Chiavennasca as you might recall from our amazing Rainaldi offer). This is a wine that you can drink young and is for more serious every day sipping. The grapes come from the Valtellina municipalities of Sondrio and Montagna. Maceration is in large, 50HL neutral Slavonia oak barrels.  It is then aged no longer than 1 year in the same, huge, neutral oak barrels and cement vats, and a few months in bottle.
