93 pts Wine Advocate – Luis Gutierrez
The 2018 Cuesta del Tejar comes from a vineyard in the zone of El Galayo in Cebreros, on slate soils at 890 meters in altitude. This is aromatic, expressive and showy the way the Garnacha from slate in Cebreros can be; it comes from the same zone as the La Mira bottling from Soto y Manrique, and the wins have many things in common. It's elegant and perfumed, very tasty and has elegant tannins, very supple and nuanced. It's tasty and balanced, really impressive. 2,600 bottles and 24 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2019.
