The nose is pronounced yet elegant, with fresh red cherry, raspberry and a little tart plum, pretty violet florals and that granitic kick of minerality. Medium-bodied, with lovely flavor intensity and purity, the cooler year brings a brighter, more lifted expression of fruit. Fine, polished tannins and lively acidity keep everything balanced and make this almost too easy to drink—a great thing at this price! The long finish carries the fresh red fruits and stony mineral notes with plenty of energy and harmony.
