Wine Enthusiast (90): Appealing aromas of blackberry and lightly toasted oak draw the nose into this bottling. There's a chalky frame to the palate, where ripe cherry and milk-chocolate flavors meet with a tart acidity.

Wine Enthusiast (93): This bottling manages to pack in a riper side of Cab than is usually seen in Santa Barbara County, where an herbaceous quality tends to appear. This bottling starts with creamy aromas of purple fruit before landing on a palate full of cassis and violet. Black pepper and polished tannins complete the package.
