La Perla Rioja Alta Reserva 2018 is a testament to the rich heritage of the Rioja region, offering a well-structured body with great complexity and a long, balanced finish. Sourced from the Carazierzo and Torcalvo vineyards, where 35-year-old vines thrive in calcareous soils with clay at an altitude of 1903 feet, this wine reflects the traditional and mostly organic farming practices that define its character.
Composition: Predominantly Tempranillo with a blend of indigenous Rioja varietals. Vine age is 35 years, grown in calcareous soils.
Winemaking: Traditional methods with sulfites maintained under 55 mg/L.
Aging: Aged for 24 months in American oak and an additional 36 months in the bottle.
