The Jolie-Laide Mondeuse from Las Cimas Vineyard in Sonoma County is a testament to the unique terroir of the Russian River Valley. The vineyard, nestled on steep hillsides with sandy clay loam soils enriched by fractured sandstone, quartz, and schist, provides an ideal microclimate for a diverse range of grape varietals. This wine, with its foot-crushed fruit and whole-cluster fermentation, embodies the essence of this distinctive region.
Composition: Mondeuse grape varietal. Vines are grown on sandy clay loam soils with fractured sandstone.
Winemaking: The fruit was foot crushed and fermented with whole-clusters.
Aging: 14-month maturation in neutral French oak barrique barrels.
