The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino from Tornesi boasts a classic display of cherry-berry fruit, cedar dust, leather and flowery undergrowth. The textures are silky-smooth with brisk acids, ripe red fruits and salty minerals which all come together, forming a wonderfully balanced expression. Fine tannins linger along with a twang of sour citrus and savory spice. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and complete Brunello with years of upside potential. - By Eric Guido on November 2020
