I also tasted the 2022 Albahra Chingao, pure Garnacha Tintorera vinified and bottled without any added sulfur after eight months in concrete. They did a softer vinification; it is always quite soft, but they tried to do even less, and the wine is a little lighter. I did notice the tannins a bit more. The wine is one year younger than the 2021 and needs some more time in bottle. It's clean and precise and nothing points to a lack of added sulfur; there's no oxidation or deviation whatsoever. It's more and more evident that this can be done, as there are more and more examples of wines like this. So, there are no more excuses for wines with faults or deviations... I think this has to be the finest vintage for this cuvée so far... Bravo! 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023. Envínate produces an incredible red in the Mediterranean, a blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Moravia Agria from Almansa and Manchuela. - Reviewed by: Luis Gutiérrez
