The nose is pronounced, with lime citrus, green apple and white spring peach, a gunflint minerality, steely but also generous. The medium body is fresh with med/med+ acidity and pronounced flavor intensity that has the signature Bue fine and rounded edges to the palate textures. I do admire Chavignol, but Bue really does draw me into a grape I have a finicky relationship with. This is a very attractive Sancerre!

Le Chemin Blanc means the "The White Path", and is a reference to the white soils around Bué which produce this typical aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a long and clean finish.

Village: Bue. A village that I have a soft spot for adoring the wines of Francois or Lucien Crochet.
Vineyard name: Terre Blanche
Soil type:Clay limestone typical of Sancerre
Vinification: Traditional temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks
Elevage: Aged in stainless steel on the lees

B. Millet, a 22-hectare estate based in Bué, is a third-generation Sancerre producer run by husband and wife team Betty and Franck Millet. In Sancerre, there is a mix of limestone and chalk terroirs - the majority of the domaine’s white vineyards are located on limestone, which accentuates the minerality that Sancerre is famous for, and the majority of red vineyards are located on clay, which is well suited for Pinot Noir. Millet produces Sancerre Blanc, as well as a beautiful Sancerre Rouge and Rosé. These are classic, archetypal Sancerre: the white combines a core of bracing acidity and focused minerality, marked by aromatic citrus and herbal notes. Aging is done in stainless steel for the whites and rosés, and a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak for the reds. In the vineyard, work is done by hand, with a rigorous green harvest during the summer.
