An underrated vintage, I absolutely love the way 2012 and 2014 have matured. Beautifully mellowed tannins with fragrant perfume, the 2014 Capalot Barolo has gorgeous blueberry richness, a nice punchy juiciness and acidity, and some sweetness that evoked cherry turnover and other baked goodies. Really nice texture and typicity, and just awesome to be able to buy a wine that seems to be close to its peak and should hold there for years to come.
