Wine Critic Reviews
Wine Enthusiast (94): A powerfully savory nose of grilled meat, herbs and saffron sees nuance emerge with undertones of sweet brown butter, sour cherries and pomegranates. On the palate, those sour fruits are pampered by a sprinkling of orange zest, but smooth tannins and lean, muscular acid preserve the sanguine element.
Falstaff (96): Clear ruby garnet colour with brightening on the rim. Intense and complex nose with fine notes of wild raspberry, black cherry and roses, some smoke in the background. Compact initially and when developing, showing beautiful ripe fruits, grippy, finely meshed tannins, multi-layered.
Vinum Wine Magazine (17.5): Intensely fruity and red-berry-like, also fine floral aromas, after aeration also cocoa; a wine with a tender start, the acidity invigorating, juicy and fresh on the palate, with considerable pressure in the elegant finish.
Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com (94): Boom! Vigna la Casaccia in the 2018 vintage is dense and compact in the glass without losing grace and sensory complexity. Slowly alternating notes of black plums, blackberries, powdered cinnamon, incense, wild myrtle, cumin, and black pepper. Blood orange describes the secondary profile that comes alive with good muscles. Full body, perfectly soft tannins of very fine grain and a finale of commendable beauty. Better from 2025.
