Domaine de Triennes Rose 2022
Provence
Grape Variety: Principally Cinsault blended with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot
Color: Rose
Vinification: Harvested at night so that the grapes are cool upon arrival in the winery. Pressed after a few hours of skin contact. Fermented at low temperature until dry.
Tasting Notes: This wine has a bouquet of strawberries and white flowers with hints of vanilla. It has the harmony and elegance that has earned the worldwide appreciation of the rosés of Provence. Triennes Rosé is the perfect accompaniment to a sunny summer afternoon.
About the Winery:
At the end of the 1980s, two Burgundians, Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine (of DRC), associated with a Parisian friend, Michel Macaux, set out in search of vines in the south of France. The project is based on their belief that we can produce great wines in the region.
Convinced by their Burgundian experience that the quality of great wines lies in the vines, the new owners invest heavily from the outset in the renewal and maintenance of the vineyard.
They seek to make refined wines that reflect the quality of their terroir. The vines backing onto Mont Aurélien face the Massif de la Sainte Baume. This situation ensures cool nights, which promote a long vegetative cycle of the vines. These conditions are ideal for obtaining controlled yields, good acidity, slow maturation, and enhancing real complexity.
