Our tasting Note

Straw-light gold color.  Think of a white Rhone with acidity as it had a slightly waxy/oily, and lightly tannic texture, ripe and juicy mandarin orange and spring peach notes, a little orange blossom/honeysuckle, almond, honeycomb, wax and straw.  Med/med+ on the palate, gorgeous textures and mouthfeel with a slight note of tannin from the brief skin contact it sees. Long in the finish, complex, fresh and a slight, fine, powdery textural feel from the tannin. Lovely stuff and a bargain for the price.

2018: (not the 2020/2021s)
Orange confit, graphite, mint, chamomile and spice notes give the 2017 Timorasso Derthona a decidedly exotic, wild expression that is impossible to miss. Rich and creamy on the palate, the 2017 has a real sense of oiliness that is incredibly distinctive.
