The Domaine Nicolas-Jay Affinites Chardonnay 2023 is an exquisite expression of Oregon terroir, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of the Nicolas-Jay winery. Nestled in the heart of Willamette Valley, this Chardonnay offers a harmonious blend of rich flavors and balanced acidity, making it a standout choice for wine enthusiasts.
Composition: 100% Chardonnay. The vines are planted on a mix of volcanic and sedimentary soils, contributing to the wine's distinctive character.
Winemaking: The grapes undergo a gentle pressing followed by fermentation in French oak barrels, enhancing the complexity and depth of the wine.
Aging: Aged for 12 months in oak, with a portion in new barrels, to achieve a perfect balance between fruit and oak influence.
James Suckling (92): A beautiful nose of sliced ripe mangoes, white peaches, orange blossoms and crushed almonds with flinty freshness. Medium-bodied, racy and tangy, with a lively, energetic pace and plenty of juicy citrus fruit in the middle. Spiced and savory. Drink or hold.
