The Brave Cellars 2023 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, particularly from the esteemed Momtazi Vineyard, captures the essence of Oregon's renowned cool-climate terroir. This biodynamically farmed wine is celebrated for its vibrant acidity, earthy minerality, and layered red fruit character. Expect enticing aromas of cherry, cranberry, and forest floor, with elegant flavors of pomegranate, sage, and subtle spice.
Composition: Pinot Noir 100%.
Winemaking: Traditional fermentation with gentle extraction.
Aging: Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
Wine Enthusiast (89): 2016 Vintage: As with the winery's Two Roads bottling, this self-described natural wine used native yeast and biodynamic grapes, with minimal sulfur. It's fruity and pretty, with raspberry and cherry flavors. There are hints of underbrush and leather, but it's principally fruit driven.
