Château de la Font du Loup is an esteemed vineyard located in the commune of Courthézon, northeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in France's Rhône Valley. Known for its unique microclimate, the estate benefits from higher elevation and consistent breezes, which contribute to the wine's elegance and freshness. This 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge opens with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry compote, and red cherry, complemented by hints of crushed herbs, white pepper, and garrigue. The medium-bodied palate is highlighted by fine-grained tannins and bright red fruit notes, culminating in a graceful, persistent finish.
Composition: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. The vineyards are planted at over 120 meters in elevation.
Winemaking: Traditional fermentation with a focus on preserving the natural fruit and floral notes.
Aging: Aged in a combination of vats and older barrels to enhance complexity without overpowering the fruit.
