Artuke is one of the leading independent Rioja producers, with 34 hectares of vineyards planted between 1920 and 2013 in the villages of Baños de Ebro, Ábalos, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Samaniego and Villabuena de Álava, vineyards that have been certified organic since 2021. The five wines they produce from them—two of their reds are made with purchased grapes—are certified too. Production fluctuates between 170,000 and 180,000 bottles.

The young carbonic-maceration wine is from 2025, a year of mildew with lower yields, but the rest of the portfolio is all from 2024. 2024 was a change from the warm and dry 2022 and 2023, with more rain and frost the 19th of April that marked a change to cooler weather and a delay in the cycle, and the summer was mild with a cold and wet September. The harvest started on the 18th of September, and yields were 20% lower than previous years. Published: Mar 12, 2026
