Nature de Craie Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru 2022
Nature de Craie Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru 2022
I was quite taken by this wine's textures and elegance and it was my first spin with it. Delicately elegant, fresh, good toast and biscuit, but also a lot of mineral and chalk, all citrus fruit in nature this was really, really pretty.

"(100% Chardonnay). Nature de Craie is Laherte’s no-added-sulphites cuvée. Originating in the Côte des Blancs Premiers Crus Vertus and Voipreux, it is made exclusively of 2022 fruit. Produced with plenty of solids to protect he wine with full-malolactic fermentation adding to its gravitas, it comes with a yeasty richness. It is a sound no-sulphite wine but aromatics are darker and more veiled that what Laherte’s wines typically are. Early consumption is recommended. (Sep 2025)"
For the 2021: 92 pts Vinous (Galloni)
The NV Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Nature de Craie is a fabulous wine for the year. It offers all the brightness that is typical of the house style, yet it also has more than enough of the mid-palate creaminess and texture that is so elusive in 2021. Fermentation and aging in wood further amplifies the wine's vinous personality. Disgorged: May 2023. - By Antonio Galloni on March 2024
