Wine Critic Reviews
Wine Enthusiast (91): Hailing from the Basarin cru, this Barbaresco is a true reflection of its terroir. A symphony of tart cherries, dried herbs and a touch of crushed stones rush out of the glass the moment the wine is poured. The palate is like taking a bite of a freshly picked mountain berry while hiking through a rugged landscape, where the effort is worth the view. Firm yet elegant, the wine does not disappoint today, but will shine tomorrow. Drink now–2045.
Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com (97): Rich and spicy in the sensory profile, showing notes of cherries, sour cherries, red plums, mandarin peel, and vetiver. The spicy background alternates notes of juniper berries, cumin, and black pepper. Full-bodied, with finely textured tannins and great personality and an exciting finish right from the start. It should be waited for as the solid exuberance will need to be tamed. Better from 2027.
