Champagne Francoise Bedel & Fils Dis Vin Secret Extra Brut NV
Wine Critic Reviews
Revista Adega (95): Sparkling white extra brut made by the traditional method and composed of 75% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir, and 5% Chardonnay, all grown under biodynamic principles, with part of the base wine aged in oak. Kept for at least 54 months in contact with its lees before disgorging, it is austere in aromas and flavors. It stands out for its vibrant acidity and tense, creamy texture, enveloping its ripe white, tropical, and stone fruits, followed by floral, herbal, and sweet spice notes, confirmed on the palate. It has a full and deep finish, with citrus, saline, dried fruit, yeast, and umami touches. Alcohol 12.5%.
Falstaff (92): Medium golden yellow, silver reflections; fine, delicate mousse. Supple peach, dried apricot, a hint of orange zest, fine blossom honey. Juicy, fine yellow tropical fruit, good complexity, traces of biscuit, fresh acidity, vivid mousse, dry, vinous style, discreet honey on the finish. A multi-faceted food wine.
