Our Tasting Note: Deep ruby core, vibrant lighter ruby red edges.  The nose is med+ with dark red fruits and sauvage, cherry, summer strawberry, and tangy blackberry are lashed with savory, smoke, crushed stone, and spice notes, very complex.  The palate is med+ bodied, kind of intense as Beaune reds can be structurally endowed, med+ tannins.  The palate is consistent with the nose, med+ intensity and a log finish that has some fine grip.

This vineyard is contiguous with the famous Epenots vineyard in Pommard. It is known for elegance and then power in its wines. Anne’s example is a nice combination betweeen elegance and power.
