The 2022 Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots 1er Cru has a ripe nose of dark cherry, raspberry and subtle earthy scents—all very finely delineated (again). The palate is very well balanced, with a juicy, rounded entry that disguises the backbone of this Vougeot. Perhaps it doesn't quite deliver that coup de grace on the finish, but this is a solid, well-crafted Vougeot.
