A wine that was born as a challenge, from a historic cru of Barbaresco, among the largest in the territory and one of the most long-lived over time. Vinified separately for the first time in 2004 immediately gave a surprising result. 

The 2021 vintage is not yet rated, but here is a review for  the 2019 vintage.

The 2018 Barbaresco Pora offers up scents of sweet tobacco, cedar, tobacco, orange peel and blood orange give the Pora striking aromatic presence. This mid-weight wonderfully nuanced Barbaresco has a ton to offer. The 2018 is quite open in its aromatics, but could use another year or two in bottle to start showing at its best. Sadly, there is just one 600-liter barrel's worth to go around.
