Hippolyte-Reverdy Sancerre Blanc 2025
Hippolyte-Reverdy Sancerre Blanc 2025
$39.98 on 6+ bottles
Our Tasting Note: Straw lemon yellow bright color. Very pure and typical Sancerre aromas that are generous and fresh with mixed citrus fruits and peels with a beautiful streak of stony and saline minerality. Subtle florals and herbs resonate in the background - textbook from a great vintage! The medium bodied palate fans out, the nervosity from the fresh acidity keeps things energetic and racy. The long finish is dry and mouthwateringly good, providing supreme refreshment.

Hippolyte Reverdy’s family has been making wine in the charming village of Verdigny, a commune of Sancerre in the eastern Loire, for many generations—perhaps as far back as 1600. Today, Michel and his daughter Julie Guiard farm fourteen hectares of vineyards on his own. They do not play around with single vineyards either (like Riffault below does). They make 3 (sometimes 4) wines, a blanc (below), a red (pinot noir), and a rose (again pinot noir). The 4th wine is rare and only made in top years and a selection of the best juice of the blanc.
