Vineyards: 'La Platière' (Chassagne) and 'Les Longs Bois (Volnay)' - .91 hectares combined

Soils: Clay-limestone soil, marl

Winemaking: 100% destemmed, alcoholic fermentation in tank (stainless and cement), followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels for 10-15 days with native yeasts. 18 months in used French oak.

A very pinot-like nose speaks mostly of red cherry and raspberry along with background hints of spice and newly turned earth. The supple and relatively forward middleweight flavors possess a bit more volume while displaying reasonably good persistence on the bitter pit fruit-inflected finish that is just a bit more structured.
