Juliénas is one of the northernmost Crus of the Beaujolais. Bottière is a beautiful terroir! This is a throwback to classic Beaujolais from another era. Fermented with 100% whole clusters, carbonic fermentation, and a slow press. The sugars finished in Burgundian barrel. An illuminated, bright wine, with delicate aromas that invite one to taste its nectar. 2018, a huge favorite!-winery

The 2019 Julienas La Bottière is also showing nicely, offering up aromas of cherries, plums and raspberries. Fleshier and richer than the brothers' Fleurie Les Ponciés, with deeper-pitched fruit tones, it's layered and gourmand, with succulent acids and an enveloping core of fruit. The choice between the two is more a question of taste than quality.
