2021 Langhe Nebbiolo

My Tasting Note:
What a joy it was to get a sneak preview of the 2020 vintage. This could easily be perceived as a Barbaresco as the quality is so good! Ruby red and lightly transparent here too. The nose is also immediate, though med+ and full of red cherry, currants, strawberry and spices. The palate has medium, youthful, and velvety tannins, really good lift here too, as well as freshness and moderate+ length. One of the top Langh nebbiolo I have had this year!
Made from the same vineyard as the Barbaresco, the grapes for the Langhe Nebbiolo come from the youngest vine plantings.
The Nebbiolo also ferments in concrete tanks. They do not punch down the wines, they prefer to use the traditional steccatura method to keep the cap submerged. The wines are aged for 8 months in Slavonian oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered
