Med- pale ruby, as young fresh Nebbiolo should be.
Really pretty, fresh med/med+ red cherry and red raspberry nose, some sweet orange peel, black tea, mild background pepper and savory spice notes. Texturally young, fresh and lively acidity, med/med+ tannin, with a medium body. Good complexity, nice length. Enjoyable now like a very good Langhe Nebbiolo from Barolo.

Soil type: Sandy, calcareous (70% sand, 20% limestone, 10% clay)
Elevation: 320m
Grapes: Nebbiolo (Lampia, Michet, Picotendro)
Method of fermentation: 18 months in big cask (non toasted slavonian oak)

The 2020 Roero is a very pretty Nebbiolo. Sweet dried cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint, dried flowers, orange peel and incense are all delicately woven throughout this airy, gracious Roero from Almondo. All the elements are very nicely balanced.
