The 2021 Roero Arneis Bricco delle Ciliegie is a reference point white for the appellation. My Tasting Note
Lemon yellow color, medium.
Citrusy, with lemon fruit, orange peel, and some tangy peach, floral white flowers, chalky mineral tones, all med+ on the nose and palate. It has an extra touch of delicious phenolic bitterness from the winemaking process that adds further complexity. This comes out to play with very good persistence and is about as good as any Arneis I have had, even the benchmark from Giacosa.
