The 2023 Chardonnay Koosah Vineyard wafts up with a beguiling bouquet, as dusty dried flowers and cracked slate give way to lemon oil, nectarine and a lovely air of confectionery spice. Silken in feel, it soothes the palate with tantalizing acidity and ripe citrus-laced fruit, coming across as juicy yet deep and complex. The Wine Advocate RP 95 Reviewed by: Erin Brooks Release Price: NA Drink Date: 2027 - 2040 The 2023 Chardonnay Koosah Vineyard comes from vines planted in 2016 in volcanic soils at 720 to 1,080 feet in elevation. It was barrel-fermented and matured in 65% new, 350- and 500-liter French oak for 12 months, plus an additional three months in stainless steel. It has alluring aromas of peach, nectarine, panna cotta, holiday spice and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and perfumed with expansive flavors. It’s balanced by fireworks of fresh acidity and has a very long finish. 250 cases were made. Published: Nov 06, 2025

Crowned atop the windswept crest of the Eola-Amity Hills, Koosah Vineyard boasts awe-inspiring terrain, planted at the highest elevations in the AVA. This biodiverse 82.5-acre oasis dedicates only 44 acres of its steep slopes and rocky Witzel and Jory basalts to vines. Through deep-rooted connections with the land, ecologically complex plant life, and the application of holistic teas, Koosah Vineyard maintains a natural balance envisioned by founding farmer Kevin Chambers. This balance cultivates a thriving microbiome that minimizes disease and insect pressure while enhancing soil fertility. Walter Scott sources and co-ferments 5 clones of Chardonnay from these sheer, volcanic slopes.

Koosah Chardonnay enchants with vibrant aromatics, intertwining apple blossom, yuzu zest, and honeysuckle in a beautifully layered bouquet. The palate reveals crisp white nectarine and a delicate salinity reminiscent of crushed oyster shells. Brisk crystalline acidity drives the wine with energy and precision, leading to a striking finish that lingers with the luscious brightness of a ripe white peach.
