fine yellow robe; there is slight reduction, so a “high” note on the nose that has an air of stewed white fruits, pear and apricot in the picture. The palate offers an assured level of gras with a firm close, is table wine and rather undeclared, definitely needs decanting. The length is sound, and it has content that holds. From spring 2024 – it will be better with more time. 12.5% abv
100% Viognier (planted 2010-15) from loose granite soils on plateau above Condrieu & Ampuis, crop harvested early to preserve acidity, 50% from own or rented vineyards, whole bunch pressing, tank fermented at 18°C, then into 65% 2-3 year 400-litre oak casks, 35% steel vat, max temperature 19°C, raised 9 months, malo blocked
