The 2024 Chardonnay Watson Ranch is brisk and chiseled to the core. Orchard fruit, chamomile, spice, dried pear and almond are finely cut. This tightly wound Chardonnay needs a bit of time to soften. I find it painfully austere in the early going. Perhaps time will help this flesh out a bit further.
